Resident Companies play a vital role in enriching the world-class performing arts that thrive inside of our walls.

Each resident company operates independently from The Tobin Center and manages its own programming schedule.

Ballet San Antonio

 

The mission of Ballet San Antonio, a professional ballet company, is to share the splendor of dance through diverse artistic performances and outreach programs that reflect, promote and enrich the cultural heritage of the South Texas community.

Children's Chorus of San Antonio

The Children’s Chorus of San Antonio (CCSA) is dedicated to enriching and expanding the experiences of young people through choral singing and musical performance. CCSA’s commitment to artistic excellence, social inclusion and individual responsibility empowers young singers to embrace and explore a broader, more positive view of self and the world.

Classical Music Institute

CMI’s mission is to cultivate classical music education and performance as a gateway to the arts.

Established as the education program of the Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio, CMI debuted in summer 2016. CMI provides classical music education to Bexar County’s youth during a two-week and year-long outreach program.

Opera San Antonio

OPERA San Antonio’s mission is to produce opera of uncompromising artistic quality and to enrich our community through educational outreach and social engagement. Youth Orchestra of San Antonio

YOSA (Youth Orchestras of San Antonio) changes lives by providing shared musical experiences that unlock possibility and foster belonging for youth of all backgrounds.

YOSA provides transformative music experiences to more than 2,500 young musicians ages 8-20 through YOSA Orchestras, YOSA Summer Symphony Camp, and YOSA School Partnerships. YOSA connects motivated young musicians together and provides a world-class experience that helps youth grow creatively, academically, and socially.

YOSA envisions a community where all musically-inclined youth in San Antonio have a chance to pursue their interests and maximize their potential. YOSA seeks ways to remove financial and social barriers to high-quality music education and designs its activities around this purpose. YOSA changes kids’ lives through music.
