Upon request, school groups may book a few guided tour of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. We invite you to explore our world-class venue, state-of-the-art systems, and stunning combination of historical facade and artistic architecture that makes The Tobin Center an important piece of San Antonio history, Tours are given by trained Tobin Center tours may be focused to meet a curriculum connection to your group.
Current Topics Include:
- Performing Arts Center: the standard tour - learn more about The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and see behind the scenes of a state-of-the-art performing arts center.
- City History / Architecture: connect The Tobin Center to the history of San Antonio and learn about the special features that make our facility one-of-a-kind.
- Audience Experience: 30 minutes, designed to offer young or special needs students an introduction to the experience of visiting The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
- Technical Theatre Experience: for middle school / high school students, this experience extends the standard tour with professional insights into working in a professional performing arts center, including the opportunity to interact with employees of The Tobin Center. This half-day experience must be scheduled in advance.
