Star-Crossed | November 3, 2024
Our season opens with "Star-Crossed," featuring music inspired by Shakespeare’s timeless tale of tragic love, "Romeo and Juliet." Enjoy selections from Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and Bernstein’s "West Side Story." Acclaimed electric guitarist James Moore will perform as soloist in the Texas premiere of Daron Hagen’s "Film Noir" Electric Guitar Concerto. The evening begins with a performance by YOSA Capriccio Strings.
A Holiday Spectacular | December 21, 2024
New this season, "A Holiday Spectacular" promises to be a joyous celebration. Join the YOSA Philharmonic, YOSA Mariachi, and the angelic voices of the Children's Chorus of San Antonio for an evening filled with classic Christmas songs and holiday favorites, sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Carmina Burana | March 2, 2025
The YOSA Philharmonic will perform Orff’s iconic "Carmina Burana" alongside the San Antonio Mastersingers. Experience the thunderous rhythms and raw energy of this powerful choral work live and in its entirety. YOSA Repertory Strings will have an opening performance.
Firebird Dance | May 11, 2025
Our season finale, "Firebird Dance," features Stravinsky’s "The Firebird," brought to life by the remarkable young dancers of the San Antonio Youth Ballet. Energetic dance compositions by Gustav Holst and Kenji Bunch will add to the excitement, along with a solo performance by the talented 2024/25 YOSA Concerto Competition winner. The evening begins with a performance by YOSA Prelude Strings, showcasing our youngest musicians.
